Fantastic First Week of First Grade

We had a fantastic first week of school. Here are some pictures of what we did.

To help with our first day jitters (just like in the story we read) we had some Jitter Juice. It was made with teacher magic.

After reading "David Goes to School" we wrote our own school rules. Then we made a cute David to go with them. It was a great listening and following directions activity. We can't wait to show them to our families at Open House.

We also practiced one of our Math Stations this week. It is called Roll and Color. It is a fun station that helps us with math fluency.

Buddy Hands is a math game that also helps us with fact fluency. We play with a partner. Ask your first grader to teach you how to play.

We finished the week making new friends and learning more about them by going on a Friend Scavenger Hunt.  We didn't get finished so we will do this again next week. Making new friends and learning about them is so much fun !

Here are our individual pictures from the First Day of School.

I hope you all had as much fun as I did! See you Monday.
