That's a Wrap!

I really cannot believe the year is over. I want to thank each and every student and their families for one of the best years of my teaching career. We had an AWESOME class and I enjoyed each and every one of the 180 days with you!  (I didn't want Wednesday to end!) I hope you all enjoyed the year as much as I did!

Here are some pictures from our last week of school.  First up.....Bubble Day! We learned a LOT about the science of bubbles. (And had fun in the process!)

We watched a video of Steve Spangler putting kids inside a bubble and wondered if it could really be done.  Mrs. Fischer, Miss Cleckler and I just HAD to try it. We were amazed at how well it worked...the pictures don't show how cool it really was! I wasn't able to get a picture of everybody, but everyone from all three classes got a chance to be inside a bubble!
After learning about the history of bubble gum (and how to get it out of your hair if there is an accident) we attempted a bubble blowing contest.  Blowing a bubble is much harder than it looks....we could use more practice! :-)

Again, thank you for sharing your first and second grade year with me. I will miss you all.  I hope you have a fantastic summer!!
Silly picture...
